Sub: TIME SCALE PROMOTION TO THE EMPLOYEES IN BS-5 TO BS-16:
Will the Administrative Officer O/o Director (B&A) Government of the Punjab, Forest Wild Life, and Fisheries Department, kindly refer to his letter No. B&A/GAD/G-III/10-2921 Dated 28-04-2016, on the subject noted above.
- Finance Department observes that the Drivers of the Secretariat Department are availing promotion prospects up to BS-16. There is no promotion channel for drivers of the other Departments. Selection Grades allowed to drivers has also been discontinued w.e.f. 01-12-2001. No doubt the present incumbent availed selection grade up to BS-7. But he is BS-7 for the last 19 years and there is no chance of promotion for him.
- Hence Administrative Department is advised that the incumbent is entitled to Time Scale Promotion as per Finance Department Notification No. FD.PC.39-14/77(Pt.IV) (APCA) 2008 (Provl) DATED 04-01-2016 (Copy enclosed).
